We travel and live in our 2019 Reflection - fifth wheel from November 1st to May 1st. Lots of room for the two of us and two large German Shepherd Dogs. While on the road we rent out our home in Lake Tahoe. After 40 years I couldn't tolerate the snow any longer. After years of skiing I had to have Cervical disc surgery and couldn't play in it accept to snow shoe at times. It was more a pain in the butt.
Love spending most of out time on California Central Coast. We headed from the coast to the desert for a short time the last several years usually mid-January. We really enjoy Anza Borrego are for hiking and biking as well as the quiet. Currently we are at Kofa Wildlife Refuge dispersed camping up Palm Canyon Rd just outside of Quartzsite. Our timing was not great because this is when Quarzsite has a big RV sale. Lots of people. This area is where quite a few snowbirds come for the winter due to the huge area for dispersed camping and warmer temperatures. Its free. I like to be further out at Palm Canyon because areas closer to town are crowded and noisy. Not a fan. Today it's actually raining so everyone staying in. Planning on adding new areas to visit this trip in Arizona and New Mexico. The main thing when you travel like this is to have a routine. If I don't I get super anxious. First thing I get up and clean up myself and the trailer. Have a meal usually around 10-10:30. I intermittent fast not because I have to but when I am usually hungry. Then its outside to walk/hike, weight lifting and meditation. I spend the rest of the day learning new things like a language, skill, or art technique. Blogging and creating a website exploring this new stage of life.
